Turn an ordinary day into Cinco de Mayo!
Ingredients:
5 fresh avocados
1/2 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup diced green onions
2 tablespoons South by Southwest
3 - 4 drops of your favorite hot sauce (optional)
Method:
1 . Remove the peel from the avocado, discard all but 1 or 2 pits and put in large wooden or non-reactive bowl
2. Take a slotted spoon or potato masher and avocado pulp until almost smooth - okay to have a few chunks or lots of chunks depending on your preference
3. Combine all other ingredients and mix thoroughly
4. Placing the 1-2 pits into the guacamole while you store it before serving in a wooden, plastic or glass dip bowl to keep the guacamole from turning brown.
Commentary:
This is a recipe that should be made and served the same day. Guacamole is best when it is fresh and lively.
